The third consecutive seminar ,"FIVB BV COACHES COURSE-LEVEL ONE"

The third consecutive seminar of the World Volleyball Federation,"FIVB BV COACHES COURSE-LEVEL ONE", part of the Olympic Solidarity program, which was hosted in Greece and at the facilities of Triantafyllidis Beach Arena, has ended.

Mr. Asterios Patsiaouras, Head of European programs, together with Federation's partners Mrs. Eirini Charafia, Ila Ioakeim, and Katerina Moustaka, presented the  European Erasmus Project “Whistle” to the coaches and athletes who participated at the seminar.

The aim of the event among others was to raise awareness, on countering and preventing VSH and catcalling in sports that usually ends up in athletes’ dropping out of sports and mostly in womens’ dropout, as well as empowering the athletes and educating all Volleyball coaches by introducing them to the European project "Whistle".

At the end of the seminar, Mr. Jeff Brio, the lead instructor and Technical Supervisor of FIVB, along with the silver Olympic medalist from Athens, Xavier Bosma, and Mark Kontopoulos, representative of the Side Out UK club, co-organizer of the seminar, presented certificates to the participants. These certificates are granted by the International Olympic Committee and the Hellenic Olympic Committee, as the FIVB Course is part of the Olympic Solidarity program. Additionally, one of the sessions featured a special presentation by the well-known Greek coach and instructor, George Yiatsis.
